The city officials will NEVER admit that this was the biggest mistake in a number of years. You are correct. We need for California Dr to go back to the way it was.

I think I just heard a politician criticize his opponent because the opponent had never fired anybody. That struck home with me. Some head should roll over this eff up.

Tearing out the islands and posts would be admitting they made a mistake. Can't do THAT.

Having the disaster of California Drive and the increase in train incidents at Broadway, along with the speed bumps on Carmelita will distract citizens. Then the City experts can put ill-advised bike lanes on Trousdale before rational people can weigh in. These distractions will allow for plans for a new City Hall at great expense before anyone can object. I'm not even going to mention City Council members voting themselves a hefty pay raise...
