We are one year removed from the post about the piece of toilet paper the library installed over the motto on the Living in Burlingame is a Special Privilege tapestry. Refresh your memory with this post last April here:
People have earned the special privilege of living here. Some few may have inherited the privilege, but that just means their parents or grandparents earned it. If we have city employees (employees we pay!) who think differently, we need some new employees. Any library trustee who went along with this needs to rethink their responsibilities and priorities.
As usual, the SF Comicle has unintentionally highlighted how right I was last year. I'm thinking our B'game snowflakes need to take a rotational training program up to an EssEff library. Six months should be sufficient. OK, maybe we ship 'em up for a full year. B'game can pay for their self-defense training if they complete a full year. Sort of like the Peace Corps.
What say you Council and Trustees? Is it time to "woke up" and remove the toilet paper ribbon?
4/16 Update: When I saw this meme today, I immediately thought about this post. For the "Burlingame is for everyone" and the "Burlingame for all" people who were pushing for rent control, and for the YIMBY's with law degrees but who don't actually have backyards, this one's for y'all.
I was pleased that the library warmly responded with my request for a fresh flag to be flown over the building.
This new flag shows pride in our veterans, Constitution and people. It is a privilege to be an American.
We can be proud to live in our city as well.
I consider it a privilege.

Being at the Burlingame Library is not just a job, it's a remarkable opportunity to be surrounded by an endless sea of knowledge and the constant pursuit of learning. It truly feels like a privilege to contribute to such a wonderful institution that continuously enriches the community. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it.

Is it possible to share revisit this "Topic?" "Living in Burlingame" "at the very least requires (One Bedroom Apt. over a $120,00.00 per year income.)
To purchase a Home in Burlingame, CA. nothing less than a Multi-Millionaire or Inheritance can allow people to live here.
That is NOT a Privilege.
Based on both of those Facts, are why Burlingame is a Horrible Place to live.
I bet Dollars to Donuts 70% of COB Homeowners over 50 inherited their homes. Basically, there is a "Financial/Cultural/Educational" Wall built @ COB. I guess it is OK for Joe. Same thing in Millbrae.

What utter nonsense. I know hundreds of Burlingame homeowners and not one inherited the home they are living in. There may be a few but 70% is crazy. Kids may inherit one but unless they are an only child it usually gets sold. Even then most get sold.
Nothing wrong with that. People work hard for themselves and their families to live here. Tossing around false jealous gibberish is poor behavior. Your mother probably taught you better.
