Mom

Is there any chance we can view the recorded speeches? I would be curious to know what the message was for our grads.

Mr. Trump says all Schools will be open this Fall.
Who is, and who is not, will be sending their children to BHS?

Michelle

While my only school age child will be attending a private school, I would never send a child to a school imposing the rules for reopening that were mentioned in today's Daily Journal article regarding San Mateo's plan. Mandatory masks, "social distancing", no playground, more "remote learning" (hint: no learning)... these nutty rules sound psychologically damaging for children. Per the CDC latest figures, kids have more of a chance of getting struck by lightning than dying of COVID. Teachers in high risk groups (older, co-morbidities) can take extra precautions if they desire.

Mom

I think I mostly agree with you, Michelle. I also read the article. The best idea was to create "cohorts" of students and have longer blocks of sessions with the teachers rotating instead of the students. That gets an A. The rest of it gets a C-.

HMB

The cohorts with block sessions is what they are currently doing in Germany, where I have family with kids in school.
Good luck finding a private school that isn't going to also be taking safety measures.

JP

The stoners won't like it. They will have to wait til 4:20 to 420 it.

The reopen website someone posted https://reopensmuhsd.com/

is really good. I just learned Supt. Skelly is webcasting a townhall in 10 minutes!
