I do love a parade. The 9th annual Hillsborough Memorial Day parade rolled up Floribunda this morning under beautiful skies we have not seen much of lately. The full complement of politicians were on hand-- they outnumbered the veterans by quite a bit, but the Army Jeep with two vets in the front and two Rosie the Riveters in the back was pretty cool. Also on hand were the San Mateo and BHS bands which always add a bit of local festivity to an occasion. It was also nice to see the flags out on the Avenew for the weekend. I hope we all take a few moments today to remember.

My son marched today for his final time as a member of the Burlingame High School Marching Band. Last time putting on the band uniform.

Oops. Hit send too soon. Last time ever wearing a RED band uniform. In a couple months, he'll be wearing the BLUE and GOLD University of California Marching Band uniform.

I rode in the Wells Fargo stage coach, which was pulled by some beautiful draft horses. Handed out completed credit card applications (joking).
