Your photo shows one of the things I'm afraid of with this current detour. There is that large orange "Airport Blvd (left arrow)" sign on the left hand side that's right in front of the left turn signal. It's literally blocking the signs from view.

I heard a couple of months ago the cops were hiding in the parking lot next to Maverick Jacks and then pulling over people with no reason. Not people leaving the restaurant just people driving southbound on California.

In one case the a woman in her late 20s was pulled over and when she asked why they said that they wanted to check if she had any search warrants. In a second case that I know if they pulled over a woman in her early 70s also for no reason. In both cases they searched the vehicles.

Not sure what this was all about.

Any ideas?

I want to express a Special "Thank You" to John Kevranian, former President of the Broadway Burlingame Improvement District. His years of service on the Board and his years serving are immeasurable; and the hours spent completing his duties, incomprehensible. We in Burlingame have been very fortunate to have such a leader serving our community, volunteering his time to maintain and improve our Broadway Business District. Fortunately, he will remain in our community and make himself available to us, giving us guidance when and where we need it. When you see John Kevranian out and about be sure to express a “thank you” to him as this community would not be as prosperous as it is now without him.

Again, THANK YOU John.

I have never heard of this Gentleman or position.
How Sad.
I wonder if I am in the minority, or majority of people who live in Burlingame that are clueless to the business community?
Thank you John.
Could you please let "us" know what you do, why, and how does your position benefit the community?

Joe

Thanks for the notice Timothy. I spoke to Ross Bruce Monday at the HSR meeting that is the basis of this post:

He is also a member of the Working Group and asked several excellent questions. He also mentioned that he may be returning to lead the B'way Business District. He was in the position for about 18 years the first time. He was also very complimentary of John's work at the District.

Dear Joe,
I honestly would like to know about these "elitist" City of Burlingame Business Districts."
For example:
-What are the Community benefits?
-What are the benefits for members?
-ie Tax benefits. Deductions for office/your home, cars and insurance for the entire family and all kinds of medical, and other stuff.
-What is this entity?
-What does it for us/me?

Joe

I really have no time for your nonsense, Holy. Go do your own homework and stop thinking the worst about people.
