Joe

And now back to the topic at hand. Per the PIO from the San Mateo PD, during a traffic stop when the officer reached into the car, the suspect stepped on the gas and took off. He was chased and arrested after a couple of miles with no injuries reported. Guess we got lucky.

Jill Rightmier

Thanks Joe, wow that was a very impressive response from our police department.

Joe

I think they were all SMPD, but I'll bet ours would do the same--there just aren't as many!

Jill Rightmier

I am a San Mateo resident sorry, I guess they ended up in Burlingame?

Joe

Yes... flying north on El Camino at ~60 mph
