I captured this photo off of the Daily Journal's daily poll on its website. It would appear the masses have a better grip on water reality than many governmental leaders. 60% (158 of 264 people) believe like I do that the drought will never actually be over. That would imply that "we" ought to be doing something about it!

Let's just put it this way, Joe. You'll never hear the following phrase: the common sense store called, and they're running out of government officials! Bruce Dickinson cracks himself up sometimes!
There are exceptions, of course, but by and large the ranks of government are filled with mediocrity and those who do know what they're doing are all about job and incumbency preservation. I do think the Burlingame City council, today, to be clear, is one of the strongest its been in a while. At least it's 60% (or 3/5's if you're into fractions) "fully staffed", if ya know what I mean?
