For everyone pining for the old Chicken! Chicken! rotisserie fare (which ended up being the cause de feu of the restaurant's demise), the old Kabul location at the corner of the Avenew and California Dr. across from the train station will be the new hangout. The alcohol license transfer is up indicating that Limon Rotisserie is moving in and their website confirms that a B'game location is coming. Personally, I'm looking forward to the ceviche since the Safeway chicken is hard to beat for six or seven bucks!

I have a very interesting theory on what happened to the old Chicken Chicken run by a very likeable man Cliff way back when.

Do tell, Sir Paul. That was some fine bird.

As I recall, it was a flue fire...so often the cause of roasted restaurants...often due to lack of scheduled maintenance.

Your right Pat ,All it takes is somebody to climb up on the roof after hours an ignite it down the flue.

Talk about a bad case of bird flue... I kid, I kid. Just a quick one, yes, your own community septo-decade hipster, if you will, has actually hung out at the Mission/Valencia location. I thought it was as good as La Mar in SF, sans the scene and the high prices (for common folk of course). Bruce Dickinson can't wait to break bread at the new location, and if it's anything like its SF sister, it's gonna be dynamite!

I was a HUGE fan of Chicken Chicken.
I have seen the Limon place in SF-never stopped.
Is Sir Paul accusing someone of Arson?
Restaurant Fires are "sort of common."
Maybe it is just apart of the business model.

Limon in SF is excellent. I have eaten there many times. Hopefully this branch will live up to the other restaurants' standards.
