I was catching up on the news from the past weekend and read about this lucky fellow whom we won't bother to name
A man who won the third largest grand prize in the history of the California Lottery's Daily Derby game has claimed his winnings after buying the ticket in Burlingame, lottery officials announced today. (He) purchased the horse racing-themed lottery ticket from the Bayshore Shell gas station at 1390 Bayshore Drive.
The grand prize was worth $946,768.
Here's my favorite part
When lottery officials asked him what he planned on doing with his latest prize, he answered, "Nothing special, but it will improve my quality of life."
That will be about a half-million after tax, so enjoy. Can lightning $trike twice in B'game?
