question to everyone. How come we NEVER see police reports for Hillsborough in the San Mateo Daily Journal or the Daily Post? Is there no crime in this town. Lived here for years and never ever see that.

True. Do you get the Town Bulletins? They are posted there, (at least the more serious ones are). I think the (quarterly) bulletins are also posted online through the Hillsborough website.
Also, I've heard there is some kind of alert system you can sign up for that sends e-mail messages when (for example) certain types of robberies have occurred.
