disgusted

This is atrocious. Some security issue.

Even the Mercury News finds this problematic--also quoting the Sac Bee

The Bee quotes an unnamed source who turned down the $2,532-per-month part-time driver's job and a legislative chief of staff who said the purpose of the new workers is to curb legislators' drunken driving.

Nice part-time work at $30K per year.

Bruce Dickinson

Joe, Joe, Joe, both you and I know you answered your own question and you put the golf ball on the tee for me to hit a 300 yarder straight down the fairway.

Bruce Dickinson must laugh, yes, chuckle at the reasons stated as to why legislators need to hire their own dedicated drivers. As someone who is no stranger to being in the public eye, let me tell you the real price breakdown: $15k is to drive and $15k is to keep the drivers' lips zipped, not tell anyone about the drunken legislators, and most of all, to not take pictures of drunken stupors or even more scandalous, the hanky panky that may be going on in the back seat, ya know what I mean? Uber or Pink Mustache cars cannot be trusted, plain and simple.

I remember Joe, in a couple of insightful observations in prior posts, noticed the power of the dash cam. Well guess what? Dash cams can be turned around, to face the inside of the vehicle. Of course a drunken legislator will not notice this in his state of inebriety. There must have been a few things that happened where if the info or evidence of the drunken state of the legislator or his actions, had gotten into the wrong hands, would have been a career ender.

Of course, this will only serve to cover and encourage bad behavior, not only inside the capital but outside the legislators' pants. Or turn the public official into a pubic official, ya know what I mean? I kid, I kid!

Just a little straight talk, from your neighbor of notoriety, Bruce Dickinson.

Joe

I know what ya mean!

Joe
