Here's part of the Times' Glenn Reeves write-up

SAN MATEO -- Burlingame wrapped up a 10-0 regular season of out and out domination with the biggest margin of victory in the 86-year history of the Little Big Game, a 48-0 win Saturday over host San Mateo.

Burlingame extended its advantage in the series to 50-32-4 and has won 15 of the last 17.

An outmanned San Mateo team hung in there for a half and trailed just 14-0 at the break. But Burlingame (10-0, 5-0 Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division) came out with the determination to make a statement to start the second half, ripped off a 28-point third quarter and scored touchdowns on its first five possessions of the second half.

"We woke them up a little at halftime,'' Burlingame coach John Philipopoulos said. "I felt like they came out a little lethargic. We were out of our realm, playing a day game. To the kids credit, when we challenged them they responded, like they've done all year. They played like a one seed.''

That's the next bit of business on Burlingame's agenda -- the Central Coast Section playoffs. Philipopoulos is hoping his team receives the No. 1 seed in Division III at Sunday's seeding meeting.

"This game should provide some momentum we can take into the playoffs,'' Philipopoulos said. "Hopefully all the way to Week 13,

Burlingame, which was in the PAL Bay Division last year, dropped down to the Ocean this season and absolutely hammered every team it played, scoring 469 points and allowing 66. In holding San Mateo scoreless the Panthers registered their fifth shutout of the season.
