Some people are just naturally the life of the party and they are hard to say goodbye to because of all the good memories you shared with them. A memorial service was held today for Mo (Conway) O'Rourke--one of those gems of B'game that is hard to say goodbye to. The assembled crowd at St. Matt's in San Mateo heard from her three daughters, sister and brothers about Mo's zest for life--a life cut short at 57 by leukemia.
The obituary notes that "If you didn't have a drink in your hand five minutes after entering her home, you went to the wrong house." to which I would add "or the wrong restaurant" because if you were at her and Meg's restaurant, Towle's Seafood, that was also never an issue. There were multiple mentions of Mo dancing on tabletops and I can attest to those as well as her dancing on the bar. Now in addition to missing the food, the music and the ambiance of Towle's, we miss Mo also. RIP.
