Congratulations!! I still remember Rino with his long hippy hair in the 1970s. The new space is great, and we're all so happy for them to have made this milestone for an eatery-- quite a feat in Burlingame, or anywhere else, for that matter!

I think there is a special promotion on Sunday also. Buy one Sam's and get a second one for what it cost in 1972. Go long or go home.

Sir Paul

Congratulations Rino & June. Two of the nicest people i know.

From June's Facebook page comes this news.........

Well the time has come our friends yesterday the city told Rino they wanted the building back . And we need to be out by the end of February 😒 RINO & I along with our family thank you for almost 48 years of your support & memories πŸ’– It’s bitter sweet but we’ll see what the future holds for us now πŸ™πŸΌ Again thank you all for your love 😘

This is going to be a tough loss for the community. Just going past the shop gave me warm and fuzzies all the time. You can visit her page on FB to add your thoughts or do it here.

Great folks and food! Great smiles!

Will so miss Sams! Best sandwich around. That corner will never be the same..

Can any post the recipe of Sam's Sandwich Spreads?
And where does Sam purchase that Bread?
Reno should Market that stuff, if not how about sharing the Secret Recipe?

Though I did not go to BHS (I'm a Bearcat), I vividly remember the line out the door when Sam's was in a true, teeny weeny "Hole in the Wall", on California Drive inside the building that now houses Limon. Reno was totally "hippy" with his very long hair, and there were business cards tacked all over the walls.

Barking Dog

Lots of Sam's Specials in this old mans gut. Years ago it was a Sat haircut and shave @ Clyde's next door then a Sam's for lunch religiously. Wish Rino and June the best

I forgot all about Clyde's.
I guess we are just getting old...
What about Sam's Secret Sauce?
