Sea Lion Visit

I had a chance to watch a bunch of sea lions in San Diego this weekend and they are fun.  But the news reports of the visitor we had right here in B'game don't indicate our own "Broadway Bound" had much fun lately.  According to the Chronic

An intrepid sea lion that flopped across eight lanes of traffic on Highway 101 in Burlingame Saturday was suffering from a gunshot wound, officials at the Marine Mammal Center said Monday.

The gunshot wound is not necessarily the reason Broadway Bound decided to cross the road, Oswald said. She might have been suffering brain seizures from eating fish sickened by toxic algae, a condition common among sea lions, he said. Veterinarians are awaiting her test results.

I haven't found the news in electronic form, but I read that Broadway Bound had to be put down ;-(
