What a great lady she was!

Ruth was a very intelligent person, keen to recognize important issues and form her opinion as a city leader. She was also a very nice person. She did a lot for this city and hope she is well-remembered.

RIP Ruth and condolences to family and friends.

One of Ruth's daughters has prepared an on line tribute to her Mom that can be found at:

Very moving!

Apologies for not responding sooner, but on behalf of the Jacobs family, I want to thank you for acknowledging my mother's contributions to life in Burlingame. She loved her adopted home town and dedicated so much of her time and energy to the people here.

Many thanks.

You are totally welcome, Vicki. My best to your whole family as you get through the first holiday season without Ruth.
