The S.F. Examiner is reporting that the C/CAG organization of county governments has approved raising the vehicle license fee by $6 and expects that will raise about $6.5 million per year. The article notes that the Executive Director says that 50% of the fees will go back to the cities in the county generating about $75,000 per year per city for transportation improvements.
The other half will go to the county for the Smart Corridor plan and public transite including Caltrain. So which pothole would you fix if you could decide where the $75K went in B'game?
And the Daily Journal is saying that C/CAG just voted to put it on the November ballot........that makes more sense
