On Wednesday, October 14th, 7:30-9:30am, Assemblyman Jerry Hill will host "Java with Jerry," (details below). Even if you can stop by for only a ½ hour on the way to work, this is an important and unique opportunity to have Assemblyman Hill’s full attention to voice our concerns about High Speed Rail.
Our State political leaders are the holders of the money bag for HSR and yet, are they completely clear on how their constituents feel about HSR and its impact on the Peninsula?
In a July 1st article about HSR, Mr. Hill told the Daily Post that: he voted for AB153 because the authority "needs independent agency status and its own focus." And the authority should have eminent domain power because that will "streamline the approach" to building a high-speed rail system stretching from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
Hope to see you there!
Java with Jerry
Wednesday, October 14
7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Caffe Roma, 143 South El Camino Real, Millbrae
(at the corner of Murchison Drive, near BART and Caltrain stations)
You are welcome to sit down and stay a while or just drop in for a brief chat.
For more information, visit www.asm.ca.gov/hill or call Assemblymember Hill’s District Office at (650) 349-1900.
Considering that HSR was started with a California ballot initiative couldn't it be ended with another ballot initiative ... just thinking....

It would certainly be worth exploring. When I lived in San Francisco, propositions were constantly being overturned by new propositions.
