Before the election - Deal's wife went around various neighborhoods "campaigning" and handing out literature - one of the issues she mentioned, and that myself and several of my neighbors are concerned about, is the proposed 4 story assisted-care facility at 755 California Drive...she said, and note this is a quote, "He (Deal) would NEVER approve something like this...I hope people don't think he would - I think it's inappropriate and I'm sure he does too" - We'll see if she was being honest or just saying what she thought I wanted to hear.

I am curious - what do you think is appropriate for that property? Presuming you are open to some change, would two stories, three stories be ok?

2 stories, yes - 3 stories perhaps - but NOT 4 stories...it is disrespectful to those living on Neuchatel, Willborough and in the Burlingame Terrace neighborhood...to think that a "neighbor" could ignore the feelings and interests of those who are directly impacted by their decisions - especially when the decisions being made are based on economic return on investment is beyond me - it seems that it truly has become an every-man-for-himself world we live...isn't it grand?! Also, I will publicly hold Mrs. Deal accountable for her remark to me if the 4 story plan gets too far...I can not let our neighborhood be ruined!
