The San Mateo Union High School Board of Trustees will consider appointing an interim superintendent while it searches for a permanent replacement for Sam Johnson who plans to retire June 29. No candidates were named. At a special meeting this week, the board will also interview and consider picking a firm to conduct the superintendent search. Three firms will be considered: The Cosca Group; Hazard, Young, Attca and Associate, Ltd.; and Leadership Associates.
