The idea that Leland Yee is somehow a clean oracle when it comes to special interests is a joke. The guy is laden with baggage. He's no friend of San Mateo County in the slightest. Mike Nevin is not a saint by any means. But at least he's one of ours. Yee is a creature of dysfunctional San Francisco politics through and through.

Mike Nevin is far less than "no saint". He has scrwed San Mateo County so many times to advance his own careers it's not even funny. Just lift the veil from the BART disaster that we are laden with, the Caltrain debt that has never been repaid, the new ferry service that will suckeven more resources. He has sold us out time and time again. He even voted to close the Broadway Avenue station and voted to preserve the stop in Santa Clara that is essentailly a boutique service for Bellerman Prep.
If Mike nevin were elected you can count on him forgetting quickly about any deep concern for San Mateo County.
The guy ran for Sheriff in SF while he was an SF cop, and lost because it was revealed that he was voting in SF while living in Daly City. Two indicments later, he was out of the running. He only fled to San Mateo County because he had to hide out for a while so folks could forget about his malfeasance.

No pun intended when Donna wrote that the developer's wife appeared to be skirting the campaign finance laws, right? :-)
