The slow summer days have begun. The local papers are scratching for any shred of local news. The Daily News Phantom only has a little piece about Mike Spinelli's car transmission problems. The San Mateo Times Insider blog hasn't had a new entry since May 27th (Justin come back!). Last night, the San Mateo Wine Walk set a nice example for Broadway or Burlingame Ave. to follow and there were a few obligatory photos of graduations. Even the Burlingame Voice blog appears to be enjoying the beginnings of summer slowness. Everyone get out and do an anti-rain dance so we can get on with the barbeques, pool parties and bike riding.

Even the city council meetings are slowing down. They get to some vague point about the budget and just when things look like they will get good they decide to wait. Tune in next week. The new TV channel seemed good.

You had to love Coffey talking about the budget. He started off saying there are three options (which was obvious) then said he didn't understand the ramifications of the choices and concluded by agreeing to support Galligan's position. The puppet strings were quite visible tonight.
