Here's more on celebrating super kids..and Danny gets mentioned twice in one thread!
Six kids formerly of Burlingame Intermediate School have been selected as California State Scholars. There may be other Burlingame kids (in the past there have been some from BHS and Crystal Springs), but these are the first six from BIS, and their respective future High School:
Caitlin Breen - Burlingame High
Emily Lee - Mills High
Danny Lenardon - Burlingame High
Andrew Quayle - Mills High
Vincent Silveira - St. Ignatius Prep
En Po Tu - Mills High
The kids were nominated based on academic achievement and leadership potential on behalf of more than 400 Members of Congress on the Honorary Congressional Board of Advisors. They are invited to attend the National Young Leaders State Conference in Sacramento, and will share four days with varied State Senators, Assembly Members and other California future leaders learning what it takes to run the State!
The letter states "a select group of students with the scholastic merit, maturity and responsibility to represent Burlingame".
I know they will not only represent Burlingame, but also their friends, family, sports teams, and high schools.
