Sadly cronyism is not dead.

What is the latest on the Catrains remodel of the station. Is Harvey-the-car man still holding up proceedings and have the small businesses been helped with their parking places?

Supposedly Caltrains was coming back in December but they have 4+ hours left and counting!

Cathy Baylock

Currently, Caltrain is scheduled to make a presentation at the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 18th. Hope to see all interested parties in attendance! If anyone would like to e-mail me their comments they can be addressed to Cathyb@baylock.com Happy New Year, Burlingame!

This story just keeps getting better. Tuesday, the newly seated Board of Supervisors awarded the SamTrans board seat vacated by Mike Nevin to newly elected Daly City Supervisor Adrienne Tissier. That now means with Nevin sliding into the "public seat" that Daly City will retain four out of the nine seats on this board. There are articles in today's Daily Journal, Examiner, and SMC Times covering this event. Also, Steve Schmidt, the former Mayor of Menlo Park had a great editorial from Tuesday, Jan. 4 regarding the loss of the "public seat". Schmidt does a nice job of explaining why this is more important than just simply buses. The article can be viewed at: http://www.almanacnews.com/morgue/2005/2005_01_05.oped05.shtml
