In today's Daily Journal, they throw out the tidbit of "Will former commissioner Jerry Deal throw his hat in the ring to replace him?"
Does anyone know which councilmembers are on the interview committee for this one?

Keele was very knowledgable as a land-use attorney, and elevated that commission to a new level. I think, however, that the commission desperately needs a second architect to help lessen the burden on the other hard working commissioners. I believe Vistica is the only one on there. It would round out the commission quite well, whether it is Deal, or someone else.

On this Monday's council agenda is the following:
Planning Commissioner resignation
- Discuss/direct
We know that interview subcommittees decisions can be overturned, but who "places" himself on this interview committee will be very important as to who the new planning commissioner will be.
Place your bets, folks!

My bet--Galligan and O'Mahony!

Well, there are ten possible combinations so we should open a book. How about these odds:
2:1 Galligan / O'Mahony
3:1 Galligan / Coffey
5:1 Galligan / Baylock
10:1 Baylock / O'Mahony
12:1 Nagel / Coffey
15:1 Nagel / Galligan
15:1 Coffey / O'Mahony
20:1 Coffey / Baylock
20:1 Nagel / Baylock
50:1 Nagel / O'Mahony
Who wants a flutter?

I'll wager that it will be the usual suspects.
My prize please - a latte at Il Piccolo, a movie like "Sideways" and dinner at the Copenhagen!

I personally don't care who the interview team is, as long as the duo is open to getting a good architect on board. That is how to round out this commission.

I'll put 50 bucks on Seabiscuit to finish. cs

It could also be Coffey-O'Mahony! or Galligan-O'Mahoney! for sure one or the other. One person to bully, one person to make it look good.
