What a wonderful community effort this was...this has to be the best way to teach kids how to be a part of a city. They love parades and allowing them to be in the parade is such a powerful message from adults. One can hope the kids will grow up to replicate the events that touched them as children. Great work, everyone!

I agree. It comes a decade late for my children, but they were able to contribute by playing music at the event, and were very proud!

The pet parade was open to 'kids of all ages' meaning anyone! Kids, adults, dogs, cats goats whatever. I am looking forward to next years event.

What a fun time! So many dogs that were so well-behaved. My own pooch is normally a bit barky around other dogs, but I think there were so many dogs there that she figured "what's the point of barking?" This is the first parade I can recall where the spectators were throwing treats to the paraders!! We will have some photos up on the Voice blog real soon.

The parade was lots of fun! Many people worked behind the scenes to make this happen. In addition to Rudy and Farris Horak and Ross Bruce, kudos go to Stephen and Fiona Hamilton, Ro Logrippo, Mike Spinelli, Jennifer Pfaff, Russ Cohen, Maritsa Chew, Melanie Mountanos, Dawn Cutler, Geraldine O'Connor, John Kevranian, Ann Keighran and Sidney Poland.
Great work, everyone!
