Safeway's plan for a 'Historic Arch' reminds me of a magician who in order to perform
his tricks , draws your attention away from what he is really up to. That's all this is,
Safeway bogus attempt to defer the city council and public attention away from the real
issue, Bulk and Mass. Who cares who camped on that spot 100 years ago. If they want to
be historical about it then build a Tepee.

In my wildest dream I did not think that Safeway would come up with an historic arch. I can't decide if the idea is creative, stupid or just plain arrogance. Oh dear - another Safeway gem!

Martin,

I agreed with everything you said. Great observation...were you a planning commissioner before? Martin D.? Cuz you sure sounded like him!
