There is no design review for C-1 zoned buildings. It is time we had that in place unless we want the down town to be ruined completely.

I attended the planning commission hearings regarding the Apple store and saw that the Burlingame Historical Society tried their best to convince the architects for Apple to consider the historic nature of the area. However, it was clear that this was of no concern.

I think there is design review for C-1, but Apple was able to get its plans in before the new rules took effect. Too bad.

Another problem we have is the current planning commissers. There's only ONE architect on the commission, with majority don't even have any background in architectural...what do you expect from people that can't even "read" plans??? too bad

The current majority managed to get rid of two stellar architects, Drieling and Deal, because the two of them knew what they were doing and also knew what the "Three" were up to. They tried to get rid of the third one, but it backfired.

One more reason for a regime change.
