I lifted the following from the city website (www.burlingame.org)

Burlingame looking for the next Burlingame Idols!
Burlingame is once again searching the community for Year 2 Burlingame Idols. The five-week auditioning period is set to begin on March 23, 2010 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department, 850 Burlingame Avenue, Burlingame. You MUST sign up at Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department to compete. There is a $40 sign-up fee for all contestants.
Who are going to be the new "Burlingame Idols?" Again, there will be four categories, but the age ranges have been changed: Category 1 - 5-10 yr. olds, Category 2 - 11-14 yr. olds, Category 3 - 15-39 yr. olds and Category 4 - 40 and over. The first five weeks will be the "auditioning" period. The last three weeks will be spent refining the performances of the top three contestants in all four categories. The final competition to determine the new "Burlingame Idols" will be held May 22, 2010, 6-9PM at Broadway Grille, 1400 Broadway Avenue, Burlingame. Winners will receive prizes and all twelve finalists will receive many opportunities to perform in the community.

Participants must come to all auditions prepared with a memorized song that has cd accompaniment. You will be given critiques and suggestions to improve your performance and song selection.

Welcome to "Burlingame Idol", Honoree. We all enjoyed your audition last night. I'm going to have such a hard time eliminating. I'm thinking that I will have four in each category, instead of three. Too much amazing talent!
