Burlingame K9 Fundraiser

Continuing on the canine (K9) theme, here is a request in the Daily Journal today:
Taking a bite out of crime requires a chunk of change and the Burlingame Police Department is campaigning for donations to their K9 program. The police dogs are used to track criminals, evidence and drugs. Each dog costs approximately $12,000 to purchase, train and equip. There is no funding available for the K9 program in the 2007-2008 police budget. Donations can be made to the Burlingame Police Department K9 Fund,?
