Re-elect Cohen (letter in the Daily News)
Dear Editor: Can you imagine finding out from an intrepid newspaper reporter that your beloved home was on the chopping block, about to be torn down to make way for a freeway interchange? And then imagine that your neighbors homes are included as well, and the justification's foundation runs the gamut from debatable to just plain incorrect.
Well this is the situation I and my neighbors recently found ourselves in. It was not until Russ Cohen joined our fight, which he did as soon as he found out about it, that we were able to successfully challenge some of the assumptions and falsehoods that were represented as proof, and save our homes.
Russ does just what a council member should do, and he does it extremely well. He is our representative; he listens to our concerns, he evaluates them, and then makes a choice based on what is best for the community. Please join us in supporting him in his bid for re-election.
