San Mateo County (Map, News) - The Boy Scouts of America honored Joshua Duehring, 15, over the weekend with the Eagle Scout award for his work posting signs in Mills Canyon, located in the Burlingame hills. Duehring, a junior at Burlingame High School, led a team of 20 adults and teenagers in creating pathway signage along the Ed Taylor Trail within the 28-acre wildlife area. The signs were designed to have bright lettering so hikers could read them after dark. The canyon is largely maintained by a citizens' group called Friend of Mills Canyon, formed in 1986.
These signs are beautiful and a great addition to the best kept secret in Burlingame, aka Mills Canyon!
