If you would like to help the Friends of Mills Canyon with their free programs and Clean Up days in Mills Canyon, please come to the Board meeting tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00 pm at the Rec. Center. Volunteers vary from a 90-year old to a BHS student who is the Event Chair - all are welcome.
Gerry Whitcomb is the new Chair of this volunteer group and there are some very exciting free hikes scheduled for 2007 and - importantly - efforts to keep the Canyon as near perfect as is allowed in the City-of-Trees-but-not-at-the-Entrance.
There is a Clean Up Day on Saturday February 10 when part of the clean up priorities will be hauling two water heaters which have been irresponsibly rolled down from one of the homes. These heaters need to be carried to the entrance so the Parks Department can pick them up for disposal.
Oh yes ... apart from dumped water heaters, there are trees.
