A Burlingame bar cleared out Saturday morning when a fight and gunfire broke out. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police responded to the Caribbean Gardens bar at 1306 Bayshore Highway on a report of a large fight.
When police arrived, they found about 50 people in the parking lot. Officers from the California Highway Patrol, Hillsborough and Millbrae were called in to help control the crowd. Witnesses told officers a fight broke out inside the bar and continued as security escorted the people to the parking lot. At that time, one man pointed a semi-automatic gun into the crowd and fired three shots into the air. Most of the crowd filed back into the bar for their own safety and the person with the gun fled in a white Cadillac Escalade.
Police stopped the Escalade near the bar, but could not find evidence linking the people in the car to the shooting.
The incident is under investigation. Anyone with additional information about the case should call the Burlingame Police Department at 777-4100

I hope they find these people. It seems like we don't have much crime in Burlingame, with the exception of the Bayfront. Easy on, easy off the freeway. It doesn't look seedy, but somehow, it is.
